Minimising food waste

Because we are a farmer-owned cooperative, the most precious ingredient is the raw milk from our farms, and we strive passionately not to waste a drop.

We have made significant efforts toward efficiency in our own production processes while also providing consumers with smart ways to get the most of our dairy products, and we direct surplus food as much as possible to food banks across Europe.

Actions we’ve taken to minimise food waste…

Start with the dairies
Start with the dairies

In our own dairies, we work constantly to optimise production while minimising waste, through intelligent technology and close collaboration with customers and suppliers. Our efforts reduced food waste in our production sites by 27% (2015-2019).

Tips and tricks
Tips and tricks

We encourage our consumers to cut down on home waste by offering tips and tricks for getting the most out of our products, from weekly dinner plans to clever ways to use leftovers.

Precise packaging
Precise packaging

We put a lot of focus on maximising the freshness and shelf life of our products. Designing packaging which is easy to fold and fully empty, in precisely the right size for every product and occasion, means less goes to waste.

Let it Last

New “Often Good After” labels on our dairy products help cut food waste at home by encouraging people to enjoy their dairy products a bit longer.
